Brant’s Clothing

We're a local, multi generational fully family owned clothing store offering hundreds of products in our brick storefront. We offer merchandise for your favorite regional high schools including Liberty and Liberty North, professional teams and colleges including the KC Royals, Chiefs, SKC, NWSL Current, Mavericks, STL Cardinals, Blues, STL SC, Mizzou, William Jewell, Northwest Missouri State, Truman State, Missouri State, University of Central Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, Iowa State, Iowa and Arkansas.

We also offer many local brands including Charlie Hustle plus autographed memorabilia, we are an officially licensed Scouts BSA distributor.

We also have a wide selection of patches, jackets and offer sewing on our letter jackets for Liberty and Liberty North High School. Our building was originally built in 1820, was rebuilt as a two story building in 1876, we opened out business in the eastern lower half in 1918 with Edward Brant Sr. In those first few decades we rented just the lower half, but quickly bought both of the buildings along with many other business and volunteer ventures with our friends around the square over the next century. In the late 1940s after Ralph "Bud" Brant Sr. returned from WWII he and Sue Brant gave birth to their son Ralph Brant Jr. and Sally Barrier. Ralph went to high school, college, the army and grad school before returning to work with his Dad in 1975. He and Martha got married and gave birth to Scott and Andrew, opened some retail stores in local malls while raising their boys and expanding the storefront in Liberty to both complete buildings with some great renters upstairs, great employees and friends who still come to visit. Near the turn of the century as the tornado ravaged eastern Liberty and the retail times changed, the store migrated from menswear and family shoes to high school merchandise but kept high school letter jackets and continued as an authorized Scouts BSA distributor. Scott came back to work at the store after college in 2004, helping the high school spirit wear business to flourish along with our high school letter jackets that we sew on site.

Later on in 2014 we continued to expand our product assortment to include licensed sports spirit wear, jerseys, apparel, headwear, novelties, autographed merchandise and accessories from over 14 national licensed manufacturers for over 35 licensed college, professional, local, regional teams and brands. We also added local brands and merchandise including a Kansas City favorite Charlie Hustle with a complete collection of great merchandise for every age and fan. Most recently Scott got married and you might find his wife Erika or his two boy's Van and Oliver roaming the store, you might even get lucky when you meet his dog Skipper. As Van says "he loves to help the customers". As a fully family owned retail store building we are able to benefit the most from the brands that we sell and therefore appreciate your continued support and we continue to pay it forward everyday to benefit our community.
