Edward T. Brant, left, founded what is now Brant's Clothing in 1921. Starting on the east side of the Downtown Liberty Square, what he called the Liberty Book Store grew and moved to its current location, turning into a pharmacy and old fashioned soda fountain. By 1938 Brant's was on the south side of the historic Square, at 15 E Kansas, a building on the National Historic Register. In that year, Ralph Brant Sr. and his brother Ed started Brant's Haberdashery, offering a full line of off the rack mens clothing and a Family Shoe Store. Through the coming decades, Brant's has continued to adapt, always providing up to date looks for the town of Liberty.
